"The main concern is the repatriation of the 421 OFWs. That is the directive of [DMW Secretary Susan] Ople. In the meantime, we are looking for an alternative shelter to decongest," sabi ni Cacdac sa pulong balitaan.

"Of the 421, more than half of that, around 300, we expect them to be repatriated in the next two weeks," dagdag ng opisyal.

"Some of them are waiting for clearances from their employers, and for those in legal cases,  we are assisting them," ayon kay Cacdac.

"We have discussions with their Labor department," patuloy niya.

"We will always be for safe recruitment of our OFWs, and we are out for improvement of the implementation of the bilateral labor agreement," pahayag niya.

"There are options for another permanent shelter, which is also of apartelle design, a three-storey building. But we cannot disclose the details yet since we will have procurement process to go through," paliwanag ni Cacdac. — FRJ, GMA Integrated News
