Tatagay ka ba kung alam mo na ang alak na iyong iinumin ay mula sa dumi ng elepante?

Sa ulat ng Reuters, sinabing mayroong gin sa Paarl, South Africa na tinawag na Indlovu, na mula sa inipong dumi ng elepante.

Ang natuyong dumi ng hayop, ilalagay sa mainit na tubig at hahayang mag-‘brew’ para makuha ang lasa nito.

"The elephants because they digest so little, they are a high in gut fermenter, so it means they don't have multiple stomachs like cows etc. And they have a very quick gun in-transit time, low gut bacteria, and very poor absorption," paliwanag ni Les Ansley, may-ari ng Indlovu gin.

"And so, they are perfect for extracting all the botanicals out of what they eat and they are very selective browsers and you can imagine, they get to choose the best leaves and the best fruits and the best flowers and the best plants," patuloy niya.

Nang tanungin kung ano ang lasa ng alak, sabi ng bartender na si Johanna Jones, "'It's very refreshing, very citrus. As I mentioned before it is earthy, so that's what makes this gin so different."

Umaabot umano sa 1,500 na bote ng Indlovu bawat buwan ang ini-export sa Europe, Asia at U.S.
