Hindi sinipot ni dating presidential economic adviser Michael Yang at mga opisyal ng Pharmally Pharmaecuetical Corp. ang pagding ng Senate blue ribbon committee nitong Martes kaugnay sa umano'y overpriced na pagbili ng mga medical equipment para sa paglaban sa COVID-19 tulad ng PPEs.
Dahil dito, inirekomenda ni Senate blue ribbon chairman Richard Gordon na arestuhin si Yang, matapos na hindi dumalo sa pagdinig sa kabila ng dalawang subpoena na ipinadala sa kaniya.
“So the motion to cite in contempt…it has already been approved. There were no objections and as directed, the director general will send formally to the Senate President and the process should start to make sure that a warrant of arrest is issued," deklara ni Gordon.
"That the [Office of the Sergeant-At-Arms] be asked to formally serve it to all law enforcement authorities and they be made aware that there is such a warrant of arrest issued by the Senate of the Republic of the Philippines, part of the co-equal branch of the government,” dagdag pa ng senador.
Sang-ayon naman si Senate President Vicente Sotto III sa rekomendasyon ng komite laban kay Yang.
Bukod kay Yang, hiniling din ni Senador Francis Pangilinan sa komite na magpalabas din ng warrants of arrest laban sa mga opisyal ng Pharmally na pinadalhan din ng dalawang subpoena pero hindi pa rin dumalo sa pagdinig.
Ang mga opisyal ng Pharmally ay sina:
- Mohit Dargani
- Twinkle Dargani
- Linconn Ong
- Krizle Grace Mago
- Justine Garado
Pinaboran naman ni Gordon ang mosyon ni Pangilinan na ipaaresto na rin ang mga opisyal ng Pharmally.
Batay sa nakalap na impormasyon mula sa Bureau of Immigration, sinabi ni Senate blue ribbon director general Atty. Rodolfo Noel Quimbo, nakaalis na ng bansa si Mohit Dargani noong August 18 at nagtungo sa Dubai.
Wala pa umanong impormasyon kung kailan ito babalik sa Pilipinas.
Samanatala, dumalo naman sa pagdinig via online ang president and chairman ng kompanya na si Huang Tzu Yen, na nasa Singapore.
