Tataas na ang singil sa pasahe sa mga pampublikong transportasyon matapos itong aprubahan ng Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) nitong Biyernes. Kasama sa fare increase ang transport network vehicle services (TNVS).
Sa isang pahayag, inanunsyo ng LTFRB na P1 ang itataas sa minimum fare sa unang apat na kilometro sa traditional at modern jeepneys.
“Upon the effectivity of the decision, the minimum fare for traditional public utility jeepney (TPUJ) will be P12, while for modern PUJ (MPUJ) will be at P14,” ayon sa LTFRB.
Bukod sa pagtaas sa minimum fare, may dagdag na singil na P0.30 sa bawat susunod na kilometro ng biyahe sa TPUJ. Habang karagdagang P0.40 per succeeding kilometer naman sa MPUJ.
“Based on the increase, the fare for succeeding kilometer run TPUJ will be P1.80 from the current P1.50, while for MPUJ will be P2.20 from P1.80,” ayon pa sa LTFRB.
Sa public utility buses (PUB), magkakaroon ng dagdag na P2 sa base fare para sa city at provincial buses sa unang limang kilomentro. Samantalang P0.35 hanggang P0.50 naman ang dagdag sa succeeding kilometer fare sa naturang uri ng bus.
Para sa mga taxi at TNVS, may dagdag na P5.00 na flagdown rate para sa kanila.
“Upon effectivity of the decision, the minimum fare for taxis and Sedan-type TNVS will be P45, while AUV/SUV-type TNVS will be at P55. For hatchback-type TNVS, flagdown rate will be P35,” paliwanag ng LTFRB.
“There will be no increase in the succeeding kilometers,” dagdag nito.
Posibleng maipatupad ang bagong singil sa pasahe sa unang linggo ng Oktubre o pagkaraan ng 15 araw kapag nailathala ito sa mga pahayagan.
Ayon pa sa LTFRB, mananatili ang 20% discount para sa senior citizens, persons with disability at estudyante. —FRJ, GMA News
