Pinabulaanan ni Education Secretary Sonny Angara ang mga kumakalat na paratang online na natuturo umano ng childhood masturbation at iba pang kalaswaan ang Comprehensive Sexuality Education (CSE) program ng Department of Education (DepEd).
Sa pagdinig ng House committee on appropriations, tinanong si Angara tungkol sa mga paratang ng grupong Project Dalisay na may nilalaman ang CSE na banta sa “moral, societal, and spiritual values.”
"I think the materials they were quoting from were not DepEd materials. So, I don't know what the source of the video was. But definitely we do not promote, we do not teach those practices,” ayon kay Angara.
Binigyang-diin ng kalihim na mas madaling kumalat ngayon ang maling impormasyon, lalo na sa pag-usbong ng mga artificial intelligence (AI) tools na kayang gumawa ng pekeng nilalaman.
“So sometimes we have to discriminate, we have to be discriminating pagdating sa items ngayon because it's so easy to, with the advent of AI, madaling gumawa ng deepfakes and the like,” paliwanag ni Angara.
Dagdag pa ni Angara, mahalaga ang critical thinking ng publiko sa pagsusuri ng mga impormasyong nakikita online.
“They will ask themselves, is this a credible source? Is this believable? They will not buy everything they see 100% wholesale,” saad ng kalihim.
Idinisenyo ang CSE program, na bahagi ng K to 12 curriculum ng DepEd, upang magturo ng age-appropriate at values-based na kaalaman tungkol sa kalusugan, kaligtasan, at responsableng pagdedesisyon.
