Inalis na muna ng record label ni Shaira Moro sa streaming platforms ang awitin niyang "Selos" matapos ang kontrobersiya ng copyright infringement o panggagaya umano sa awitin ng Australian singer na si Lenka.
Sa inilabas na pahayag ng AHS Channel, inihayag nito na ang melody ng "Selos" ay orihinal na nagmula sa awiting “Trouble is a Friend” ni Lenka.
Nakikipag-ugnayan na umano sila sa team ni Lenka para maging official cover nito ang "Selos" ni Shaira.
"On behalf of our artist, Shaira, AHS Productions would like to convey our heartfelt apologies to all those who have enjoyed listening to the song 'Selos' as it is now unavailable in all online streaming platforms," saad ni AHS sa inilabas nilang pahayag na naka-post sa Facebook.
"This is a voluntary act on our end as we are still making arrangements with regards to the legality of the publication of the song. We have chosen to take it down from all platforms pending our agreement with the original artist’s management on securing a cover license for 'Selos," dagdag nito.
Una rito, may nakapansin sa pagkakatulad sa melody ng "Selos" at "Trouble is a Friend," na ipinaalam sa Australian singer.
Sinabi naman ni Lenka na gumagawa na ng "legal action" ang kaniyang team.
Sa kabila ng kontrobersiya, nagpasalamat ang record label ni Shaira sa mga natuwa sa kaniyang cover song. Umaasa sila na magpapatuloy ang mainit na pagtanggap kay Shaira na tinatawag na “Queen of Bangsamoro Pop,” kapag napayagan nang ma-upload muli ang awitin.
“We certainly did not expect that it will become this big to a point where Shaira will be known as the 'Queen of Bangsamoro Pop.' We could not be prouder. We hope that when time comes and we will be re-uploading the song, you will show her the same love and acceptance,” ayon sa AHS.
Sa comment section, sinabi rin nito na maglalabas "soon" ng original music si Shaira.--FRJ, GMA Integrated News
