Inanunsyo ng Ang Bandang Shirley na binuwag na nila ang kanilang grupo.
Inihayag ito ng banda sa kanilang social media pages ngayong Miyerkules kasunod ng pagkakasangkot sa kontrobersiya ng kanilang miyembro na si Ean Aguila.
“This January, past allegations towards Ean resurfaced with new information, which has significantly affected the band and the members,” saad sa post ng Ang Bandang Shirley.
“Let it be known that we strongly do not condone his behavior, and we urged him to take full responsibility for his actions. He made a statement and eventually decided to quit the band,” patuloy nito.
Gayunman, hindi binanggit sa post kung ano ang tinutukoy na alegasyon laban kay Ean.
“We support this decision, and we sincerely hope for the healing of all parties involved,” dagdag ng banda sa post.
Bukod kay Ean, bokalista rin ng banda si Debb Acebu, habang ang iba pang miyembro ay sina Paolo Arciga, Miggy Abesamis, at ang manager na si Kathy Gener.
Saad sa post, "We have decided not to continue as a band.”
“This is the end for Ang Bandang Shirley. We thank you for all your support and for listening to our music throughout the years,” ayon pa sa grupo.
