Lalaban sa Miss Planet International 2022 si Herlene Nicole Budol sa darating na Nobyembre bilang pambato ng Pilipinas.
Inanunsyo ito ng pageant organization nitong Lunes, kasama ang post ng larawan ni Herlene na nakasuot ng superhero costume.
“We are glad to announce that Herlene Nicole Budol, first runner-up of Binibining Pilipinas 2022, will represent the Philippines at the Miss Planet International 2022 pageant,” saad sa caption ng post.
Ang manager ni Herlene na si Wilbert Tolentino, ang national director ng naturang beauty pagent sa bansa.
Sa isang YouTube vlog, sinabi ni Wilbert na mayroon siyang “exclusive rights to choose a candidate,” at pinili niya si Herlene.
Ayon kay Wilbert, patuloy na sasagot sa wikang Filipino si Herlene sa Q&A portion gaya ng ginawa niya sa Binibining Pilipinas.
Layunin ng naturang patimpalak na i-promote United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDG). Ang bawat kalahok ay may pagkakataon na magmungkahi ng kanilang pagbuo ng [SDG] 18.
“We are to give the tools to our candidates to strengthen their social projects and make possible a necessary generational change in order to Save our Planet and Save Humanity on Earth,” saad nito.
