Simula sa Miyerkules, May 15, makatatanggap na ng mid-year bonus ang mga qualified government personnel na katumbas ng isang buwang sahod, ayon sa Department of Budget and Management (DBM).

“As always, we remind all government agencies and offices to ensure the prompt and timely release of bonuses to their employees, in accordance with our existing rules and regulations. This will begin on May 15,” saad sa pahayag ni DBM Secretary Amenah Pangandaman nitong Martes.

Ang mga kawani na nakapagtrabaho na ng apat na buwan sa gobyerno mula noong July 2023 hanggang May 15, 2024 ang kwalipikadong makatatanggap ng bonus, ayon sa DBM.

Dapat na mayroong satisfactory score o applicable performance rating ang kawani mula sa kaniyang tanggapan para makatanggap ng naturang bonus.

Kabilang sa mga makatatanggap ng midyear bonus ang lahat ng civilian personnel, kasama ang regular, casual, at contractual employees. Maging ang mga appointive o elective positions, na parehong full-time at part-time, sa mga sumusunod na government branches at institutions:

  •     Executive, Legislative, and Judicial branches
  •     Constitutional Commissions and other Constitutional Offices
  •     State Universities and Colleges (SUCs)
  •     Government-Owned or -Controlled Corporations (GOCCs) covered by the Compensation and Position Classification System (CPCS)
  •     local government units (LGUs)

Kasama rin ang military and uniformed personnel ng Armed Forces of the Philippines, Philippine National Police, Philippine Public Safety College, Bureau of Fire Protection, Bureau of Jail Management and Penology, Bureau of Corrections, Philippine Coast Guard, at National Mapping and Resource Information Authority.

“Appropriations for the grant of the mid-year bonus were comprehensively released to the concerned agencies at the start of the fiscal year. Hence, the provision of said benefits to the qualified personnel is already under the jurisdiction of the concerned agencies,” ayon pa sa DBM.

Samantala, ang mga kinauukulang local government boards naman ang magdedetermina ng alokasyon para sa midyear bonus ng mga tauhan sa mga lalawigan, lungsod, munisipalidad, at mga barangay, "subject to policy conditions for the purpose under DBM Budget Circular No. 2017-2," ayon sa DBM. —FRJ, GMA Integrated News
