Sinuspinde ni Public Works Secretary Vince Dizon ang pagsusuot ng uniporme ng mga tauhan ng Department of Public Works and Highways kaugnay ng nagpapatuloy na imbestigasyon sa mga maanomalya umanong flood control project.
Sa isang memorandum na inilabas nitong Setyembre 9, inihayag ni Dizon na lahat ng opisyal at empleyado ng DPWH ay “excused from wearing the prescribed office uniform until further notice.”
Inisyu ng kalihim ang memorandum “in light of current events.”
Bukod dito, sa isang advisory na ipinost sa media viber group ng DPWH, sinabi ng ahensiya na inilabas ang direktiba para protektahan ang mga empleyado nito mula sa pambu-bully at harassment kaugnay ng patuloy na pagsisiyasat sa mga umano'y iregularidad sa mga flood control projects.
“All officials and employees of the DPWH are nevertheless expected to report for duty in appropriate and presentable attire at all times, in accordance with Civil Service Commission Circular No. 16, s. 2024 (Revised Dress Code for Government Officials and Employees), and in keeping with the standards of professionalism in public service,” saad ni Dizon sa kaniyang memo. —Jamil Santos/AOL GMA Integrated News
