Nasunog ang tanggapan ng Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) sa NIA Road sa Barangay Pinyahan, Quezon City nitong Miyerkoles ng hapon. Pero pagtiyak ng kagawaran, walang dokumento na nasunog na may kaugnayan sa isinasagawang imbestigasyon sa flood control projects.

Ayon sa bulletin ng  Bureau of Fire Protection - National Capital Region (BFP-NCR), iniulat ang sunog dakong 12:39 p.m. at umabot sa ikatlong alarma pagsapit ng 12:56 p.m.

Idineklara namang fire-out ang sunog pagsapit ng 1:34 p.m.

 

 

Sa socia media post ni GMA Integrated News' Chino Gaston, sinabing naapektuhan ng sunog ang Bureau of Research Standards (BRS) building.

Sa isang pahayag, sinabi ng DPWH na walang mga dokumento na may kaugnayan sa isinasagawang imbestigasyon sa flood control anomalies ang nasa BRS building.

"The DPWH BRS is responsible for the conduct of research, studies, pilot testing, and formulation of policies for government infrastructure projects," ayon sa DPWH.

Inihayag din ng DPWH, na sumabog na computer unit ang pinagmulan ng sunog batay sa paunang imbestigasyon.

"Initial findings indicate that the fire originated from a computer unit inside the Materials Testing Division that reportedly exploded," ayon sa DPWH, na sinabing walang nasaktan na tauhan nila sa nangyaring insidente.

"An investigation team to assess the fire incident has been deployed and is currently conducting a thorough assessment to determine the full extent of the damage and to prevent similar incidents in the future," dagdag nito.— mula sa ulat ni Joviland Rita/FRJ GMA Integrated News
