Pumirma ng partnership deal ang Kapuso Network sa Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) nitong Huwebes para sa inaabangang Pinoy remake ng Koreanovela series na "Descendants of the Sun."

"The whole Armed Forces of the Philippines is actually extending its support kasi this really highlights 'yung core values namin, patriotism, honor and service and of course, it brings us closer to the people, with them identifying to the military as their partners for this development," sabi ni Major General Bienvenido Datuin Jr., Commander ng AFP Civil Relations Service (CRSAFP) sa memorandum-of-agreement signing sa GMA Network.

Present sa MOA signing were Senior Vice President for Entertainment Group Lilybeth Rasonable, Vice President for Drama Productions Redgie Magno on the part of GMA; at si Datuin para sa AFP.

"If needed, kasi kailangan naman nilang malaman talaga 'yung pinagdaanan namin and of course, how to really portray in the best sense 'yung aming traditions, customs and protocol... [W]e will be coordinating with the Special Operations teams and Special Operations Command kung ano 'yung maibibigay na tulong sa atin," anang opisyal.

"Du'n lang magiging kapani-paniwala itong palabas natin eh, at talagang they would really portray us to the best traditions and customs of the Armed Forces of the Philippines," dagdag niya.

"We are so very honored and very thankful that the AFP has agreed to help us and partner with GMA for this project. This is a much awaited and very important flagship of the network. We cannot have it any other way but to have the AFP helping us out here," sabi ni Rasonable.

"We just want to be always guided on how to do it correctly, do it right, that's why we want to partner with the AFP. We're so privileged that they also agreed to work with us," ayon naman kay Magno.-- FRJ, GMA News
