Binawi ng bagong House Speaker na si Representative Faustino “Bojie” Dy III ang travel clearance ni Ako Bicol Party-list Representative Elizaldy Co. at inutusang bumalik kaagad sa Pilipinas sa harap ng isinasagawang imbestigasyon at pagkakadawit ng kaniyang pangalan sa maanomalyang flood control projects.
Sa sulat na may petsang September 18, inutusan ni Dy si Co na bumalik sa bansa sa loob ng 10 araw matapos na matanggap niya ang sulat.
“Please be advised that your existing Travel Clearance for your personal trip is hereby revoked effective immediately,” saad sa sulat.
“This revocation is issued in the paramount interest of the public and due to the existence of pressing national matters requiring your physical presence,” dagdag nito.
Iniutos ang agarang pagbabalik ni Co upang agad na tugunan ang mga nabanggit na usapin tungkol sa umano’y katiwalian sa paggamit ng pondo ng bayan.
“Failure to comply with this directive within the prescribed period shall be construed as a refusal to subject yourself to the lawful processes of the House of Representatives and may result in the initiation of appropriate disciplinary and legal actions. Your immediate and strict compliance is expected,” ayon pa sulat.
