Inilahad ni Gabbi Garcia ang kasiyahan sa kaniyang pagbabalik bilang si Alena sa “Encantadia Chronicles: Sang'gre.”
“It's been fun, Tito Boy. You know, 'yung mga tao sa Encantadia, may it be cast or production, they're family. It's just like going back to your OG show,” sabi ni Gabbi sa kaniyang guesting sa “Fast Talk with Boy Abunda” nitong Biyernes.
“I can't say it's the same, but a lot of things have changed, pero the love is still the same,” pagpapatuloy niya.
Ayon kay Gabbi, magiging malaki ang pagkakaiba ng kaniyang karakter na si Alena noong 2016 at ngayong 2025.
“Sa first part ng 2025, a lot of people, I've been reading kasi comments on social media about my character specifically, a lot of people were agreeing to it, a lot of people were kinda disappointed how my character turned out to be,” pag-amin niya.
Ngunit pagtiyak ni Gabbi, “Ang masasabi ko lang, itong pagbabalik-taping ko, you guys won't be disappointed.”
Sinagot din ni Gabbi ang ilang komento ng netizens na “missing in action” o M.I.A. daw ang kaniyang karakter.
“Mayroon ako mga sinasagot na ibang mga tweets and comments because I wanted to clear it out. [Taong] 2016 kasi, they were telling me na bakit na may mga episodes na wala ako. We all know that the storyline changed. Not actually a bit, it was really different from the 2005 version and the 2016 just because things changed. And that was out of my control,” sabi niya.
Ayon kay Gabbi, ginalang na lamang niya ang mga pagbabago, at mahalagang ginagawa niya ang kaniyang trabaho.
“And I was a minor back then. So there were also times na iba 'yung working hours because of DOLE and everything. And then I had this parang commercial abroad. Pero that was just six days. People were telling me kasi daw, racket ako nang racket sa labas. Pero guys, six days lang ‘yun. And it wasn't really, it was out of my control on what's happening in the story. So, I cleared that out,” paliwanag niya.
Inamin pa ni Gabbi na na-FOMO o “fear of missing out” siya noong 2016 nang mag-absent siya sa mga taping dahil naiba ang kuwento.
“So, fast forward to 2025, some people were still saying na parang, kaya daw nagkagano’n 'yung character niya lang because I wasn't present. Ngayon, 2025 naman, I also had, wala, I had no control over the story. And it's also may bago na rin generation ng Sang’gre. But, ayun nga, this coming weeks sa Sang’gres, medyo maiiba. And you guys won’t be disappointed. To the Alena fans,” ayon sa aktres.
Bukod kay Gabbi, muling gumanap sina Glaiza De Castro, Kylie Padilla, at Sanya Lopez bilang sina Pirena, Amihan, at Danaya.
