Sinabi ni Katya Santos na hindi pa mangyayari sa ngayon ang isang reunion show ng Viva Hot Babes, gaya ng ginawa ng Sexbomb Girls.
Sa post sa Facebook nitong Martes, nagbigay ng pahayag ang dating miyembro ng Viva Hot Babes kaugnay ng usap-usapan ng posibleng reunion ng dati niyang grupo.
Bagaman nagpapasalamat siya sa fans na naghahangad ng Viva Hot Babes reunion show, sinabi ni Katya na wala ito sa kanilang mga prayoridad sa ngayon.
“Unfortunately, we all have our own different paths to prioritize right now. We love the idea but it may not happen anytime soon,” ayon sa aktres na lubos ding nagpapasalamat sa naging ambag ng grupo sa pop culture ng bansa.
“Not because of hype or comparison, but because we were part of a time that celebrated confidence, individuality, and fearless self-expression,” patuloy niya.
Ayon kay Katya, hindi lang isang grupo ang Viva Hot Babes, “but a moment, a feeling, and a reflection of an era that many still remember fondly.”
“Yes, we are actresses and models. We never claimed to be professional dancers, and we were never meant to be,” saad niya. “Our strength was always in our presence, our personalities, and our work across film, music, and media."
Sa pagtatapos ng kaniyang mensahe, sinabi ni Katya na nirerespeto niya ang pananaw ng lahat at ipinagmamalaki nila ang kanilang mga nagawa na patuloy na pinag-uusapan ng kasalukuyang henerasyon.
“We respect that everyone has opinions. Ours is simple. We’re proud of the work we did and grateful that it still resonates with people today,” sabi ni Katya.
Sa huli, pinasalamatan niya ang mga tagahanga nila sa pag-alala sa saya, kumpiyansa, at enerhiyang hatid ng kanilang grupo.
“Some stories don’t need competition. They simply live on in memory. To everyone who has ever supported The Viva Hot Babes, thank you for seeing us for who we were, who we are, and who we continue to be: grateful, proud, and forever thankful for the love,” sabi pa ng aktres.
“We are who we are. We’ve always been. And we move forward with gratitude, not the need to prove anything. Viva Hot Babes — nothing more, nothing less," dagdag niya.
Kamakailan lang, inihayag ng dating kasama ni Katya sa Viva Hot Babes member na si Andrea Del Rosario, umaasa siyang magkaroon din ng reunion show ang kanilang grupo, at makasama ang hinahangaan niyang Sexbomb Girls.
“Of course, we’d love to. We’ve been doing a lot of out-of-town shows with the Hot Babes naman. It's just that siyempre ‘yung iba naging public service. Like ako, soap operas,” sabi ni Andrea sa "Fast Talk with Boy Abunda."
“Now we just have to sit down one of these days. Hopefully one of these days. Hopefully we can do one with Sexbomb 'cause I’m a fan," dagdag niya.
Ang Viva Hot Babes na sumikat noong unang bahagi ng 2000s ay kinabibilangan ng mga sexy actress noon na sina Andrea, Katya, Maui Taylor, Gwen Garci, Sheree Bautista, at iba pa.
