Inatasan ni Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos Jr. ngayong Sabado ang mga kinauukulang ahensya na tiyakin ang kaligtasan ng mga Pilipino sa Gitnang Silangan matapos magsagawa ng mga pag-atake ang Israel at Amerika laban sa Iran.

“We have received reports of airstrikes that hit Iran. We are in the process of getting more information,” saad ni Marcos sa isang pahayag na naka-post sa X.

“In the meantime, the safety of Filipino citizens in Iran and in the Middle East is paramount. I have instructed the DFA [Department of Foreign Affairs] and the DMW [Department of Migrant Workers] to take measures to determine their whereabouts in affected areas and to take immediate measures to ensure their safety,” dagdag nito.

Kasunod ng pag-atake ng US at Israel, gumanti naman ng pag-atake ang Iran sa mga bansa sa Middle East na may base militar ang Amerika.

Sinabi ng DFA na sa kasalukuyan ay wala pang Pilipinong naiulat na naapektuhan o nasaktan dahil sa sigalot.

"The DFA has assured that embassies stand ready to assist our nationals. We continue to advise Filipinos to stay in their homes or safe places and refrain from going out to public places at this time," ayon sa DFA.

Sa United Arab Emirates, hinikayat ng diplomatic mission ng Pilipinas ang mga Pilipino na “to remain calm and monitor official advisories and guidance from news and other reputable sources, including the UAE Government and the Philippine Embassy/Consulate General."

"In the event of any unusual incident, all Filipinos are cautioned to shelter in their homes and refrain from making unnecessary movements," saad nito.

Sa Tel Aviv, pinayuhan ng Embahada ng Pilipinas ang mga Pilipino na manatili sa loob ng bahay at maghanda na magtungo sa mga taguan dahil sa inaasahang pagganti ng Iran.

Tinatayang mayroong 30,000 Pinoy workers sa Israel na caregiver ang karamihan. Samantala, mahigit 1,000 naman ang Pinoy na nasa Iran.

Naglabas din ng kahalintulad na abiso ang Embahada ng Pilipinas sa Kuwait na manatili sa bahay ang mga Pilipino.

"Please stay home or in a secure place. Avoid unnecessary trips or movements. Make sure your mobile phones and devices are always charged," ayon sa embassy.

"Do not share or spread misinformation or fake news. Follow and check only official sources for accurate and reliable news and information," dagdag nito.

Una rito, sinabi ni US President Donald Trump sa isang video post sa social media na nagsagawa ng major combat operations sa Iran ang US. Inakusahan niya ang Tehran na ipinagpapatuloy ang paggawa ng nuclear program.
