Inihayag ng Office of the Press Secretary nitong Huwebes na halos 10,000 job orders ang naghihintay para sa mga Pinoy sa Singapore.

Ayon sa OPS, nakipagpulong si Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) Secretary Susan Ople kay Singapore Manpower Minister Tan See Leng, at tiniyak sa Pilipinas ang halos 10,000 bagong job orders para sa mga Filipino.

Kasama si Ople sa Philippine delegation sa isinagawang state visit ni Pangulong Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr., sa Singapore.

"Even prior to the President's visit, our Philippine Overseas Labor Office (POLO) in Singapore had already approved close to 10,000 job orders, with 5,000 jobs awaiting aircraft technicians in the aviation industry," ayon sa pahayag ni Ople na inilabas ng OPS.

Sinabi ni Ople na, “the goodwill arising from the President's state visit and the lifting of the 27-year-old guarantee bond will lead to more and better job prospects for Filipinos ... to work in Singapore.”

Kabilang umano sa mga inaprubahang job orders na isinumte ng Singaporean employers ay ang mga sumusunod:

  • Aviation industry - 5,000 aircraft technicians;
  • Medical industry - 3,000 healthcare workers;
  • Engineering industry - 1,000 skilled workers;
  • Education industry - 500 workers; at
  • IT sector - 300 workers.

Inaasahan ni Ople na madaragdagan pa ang mga Pinoy na magtatrabaho sa Singapore kasunod ng ginawang pagbisita roon ni Marcos at mga repormang ipinatutupad umano ng DMW. —FRJ, GMA News
