Iniutos ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte nitong Biyernes na ipatigil ang lahat ng gaming schemes na pinapatakbo o nakakuha ng lisensiya at prangkisa mula sa Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO).
"Sa mga kababayan ko, I have today ordered the closure, the stoppage of all gaming schemes of whatever nature however that got the franchises to do so from PCSO," pahayag ng pangulo sa inilabas niyang mensahe nitong Biyernes ng gabi.
Kabilang sa mga ipinatigil o sinuspindi ni Duterte ang lotto games, Keno, STL, Peryahan ng Bayan, at iba pa.
"Lahat ng laro ng lotto, STL (Small Town Lottery), Peryahan ng Bayan, or whatever nature, there's one yung gambling machine, Keno, yung gambling that got the franchise from PCSO are as of today, suspended or terminated because of massive corruption," pahayag niya.
Inatasan din ni Duterte ang Philippine National Police (PNP) at Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) na tiyaking maipatutupad ang kaniyang direktiba habang iniimbestigahan ang naturang usapin.-
Hindi rin daw kikilalanin ni Duterte ang mga utos ng korte na manghihimasok sa kaniyang direktiba.
"The ground is massive corruption involving all, pati courts, who issue repeatedly injunctions to paralyze government and to allow corruption to thrive," aniya.
"Puro dayaan lahat, at yung mga kontrata ay parang crafted in favor of corruption and to favor other corporation. . . .I will not honor any order from any court stopping us or enjoining us to stop our desire to go into investigation for the massive corruption that is existing in the PCSO," sabi pa ng pangulo.- FRJ, GMA News
