Naghain ang National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) ng ethics complaint laban kay Cavite Representative Kiko Barzaga, matapos magparatang umano ang mambabatas na nagplano ang ahensiya ng asasinasyon laban sa ilang senador sa naganap na shooting incident sa Senado noong Mayo 13.

“We filed a complaint against Congressman Barzaga sa Ethics Committee and requesting for an investigation and eventually disciplinary actions to be taken by the Ethics Committee,” sabi ni NBI Director Melvin Matibag sa panayam sa kaniya ng mga reporter, na iniulat ni Isa Avendaño-Umali ng DZBB.

“‘Yung mga publication niya during the time that there was a shooting incident in the Senate, meron siyang mga pinost which is very offensive to the National Bureau of Investigation. Meron siyang live rin doon na ginawa. And I'm filing this not on my personal position but I'm filing it on behalf of the men and women of the NBI," sabi pa ni Matibag.

Ayon kay Matibag, sinabi ni Barzaga sa mga social media post nito na may pagtatangka umano ang ahensiya na magsagawa ng pagpatay sa ilang senador.

“Ito ‘yung mga post niya noong sinabi niya that there is an attempt of assassination doon sa NBI, tapos sabi niya na nagbabarilan... there are posts na na-trace namin sa account niya. It was validated in his account. He's somehow accusing the members of the National Bureau of Investigation, pumasok sa Senate to attempt an assassination to some of the senators," sabi ng opisyal.

Hinikayat ni Matibag na maimbestigahan si Barzaga at mapatawan ito ng parusa sa ilalim ng House rules on ethics.

“Baka dapat ito removal from the public office already. I think that’s the penalty that should be given, given the circumstances, not only the filing namin today, but ‘yung previous actions niya,” anang direktor ng NBI, sa hiwalay na video naman ni Jonathan Andal ng GMA News.

Ipinunto ni Matibag na may mga nauna na ring babala o warning ang Kamara laban kay Barzaga.

"I think it's not the proper behavior of the congressman. Habang mayroong gano'ng kaguluhan, mag-live ka pa at sabihin mo that there's an assassination attempt to some of the senators being done by the law enforcement," sabi pa ng hepe ng NBI.

Ayon pa kay Matibag, tinitingnan din nila na magsampa ng kasong kriminal laban kay Barzaga.

"Mayroon siya na violation under revised penal code, Article 154, publishing untrue statement, tapos were reviewing inciting to sedition also. And also, he can be liable under the code of ethics of government officials. So patong-patong na kaso," anang opisyal.

Sinusubukan pang makuhanan ng pahayag si Barzaga tungkol sa reklamong inihain laban sa kaniya ng NBI.

Pero sa isang post niya sa Facebook, nakasaa na, “Inutusan ni Marcos ang NBI na mag-file ng Ethics complaint laban sakin, mukhang naapektuhan siya sa pagbaba ng trust ratings niya.” – Jamil Santos/FRJ GMA News
