Gumawa ng kasaysayan sa telebisyon ang pagsasanib-pwersa ng GMA Network at ABS-CBN dahil simula Abril, mapapanood na ang ilang pili at pinakamamahal na pelikula ng Star Cinema sa Kapuso Network.
Sa Chika Minute report ni Nelson Canlas sa GMA News "24 Oras" sinabing ginanap nitong Martes, Abril 5, ang makasaysayang contract signing na pinangunahan ng GMA Network kasama ang ABS-CBN para sa lisensya ng ilan sa mga pelikula ng Star Cinema.
Dumalo sa pirmahan ang mga opisyal ng Kapuso Network na sina GMA President and Chief Operating Officer Gilberto Duavit Jr.; GMA Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer Felipe Yalong, GMA Films President and Programing Consultant to the Chairman and CEO Atty. Annette Valdes; GMA First VP for Program Management Department Jose Abacan; GMA Vice President for Corporate Affairs and Communications Angel Javier-Cruz; GMA Assistant Vice President for Program Management Department Mitzi Garcia; at Assistant Vice President for Corporate Affairs Communications Jojo Aquio.
